Bear Ghost (Mattx)

Please give us a brief overview of your touring over the last 12 months:
We embarked on our first tour ever by renting venues or making door deals as headliners. Room capacities ranged from 200-500 and we sold out two of the twelve shows we headlined. We wrapped up the year as direct support for a larger band and played to crowds of 500-900.

Were you in charge of selling your own tickets?
Yes

Tell us about your ticket selling strategy:
Ticket selling was primarily run by the venues we booked with and all deals were door splits after expenses. Not the best control of sales data, but the venues were happy to get their ticket fees and portion of the split, making it easier for us to get our foot in the door during the booking process.

Tell us about your tour merch sales:
On our headlining tour we sold our own merch and with the exception of two venues, didn't have to split any sales percentages. We offered:
- Shirts
- CDs
- Enamel pins
- Patches
- Posters
- Flags
- Stickers

We ran a giveaway at every show where we collected data via a QR code at our booth and the winner was announced and given the prize on stage on the night of the shows.

Tell us about your fan base growth from touring:
Touring had a great impact on our streaming numbers. It also did wonders for merch sales and meeting all the fans allowed me to collect info on what sort of products and offers were right for our audience. When we toured with a headliner, our sales stayed high and new people were "onboarded". We are confident that our next headlining tours will draw more people as word of mouth has been amazing this year.

Lastly, please tell us why you think you should be a finalist for the Tour Titan Award:
As the band's manager, I booked all of the events. We focused on markets that had data to back up the journey and were able to consistently draw in cities we'd never been to. Our streaming numbers are strong and with the accurate data and focus on which markets were worthwhile, we had multiple successful runs with demand building for markets we've yet to play. We are 100% indie, no agent, no label, no sponsors. We bring our own support acts that we get to hand pick. We make sure each show is an experience and we are looking to 2x or 3x the amount of touring we do in 2025.
